Details of the Package: |
Your initial outlay of approximately $3747.50 (less than the cost of a Celtic harp!) is recouped in just 6 months. Your six harps are rented to six children (or adults) for a period of 2 months. Each person is part of the Rainbow thus making it 'necessary' to attend all 8 classes so that the Rainbow is complete! |
The parents pay a rental fee for the harp for each of the 2 months plus 8 lessons. This is to be paid upfront guaranteeing you the income whether or not their child follows through or not. |
With each of the six children for the first round, you will earn (approximately) 1/2 of your investment fee and by the time you have done two rounds, your investment is recovered. The rental of the harps then becomes all profit from that point on. |
You will work with the DVD's - showing the children their lesson for that week. You will notice that some children will catch on quicker than others. Thus, after the 8 lessons, you can take the students on individually or in smaller groups of 2 or 3 and continue on with the DVD lessons. |
There are performance story lines within the DVDs enabling you to have ready made recitals in place. Here is a link with a short demo of the first 2 DVDs. |
The contract forms, business guidelines and suggested lesson plans are all in your How To Become An Effective Rainbow of Sound Facilitator manual.

Harp Instructor, Carol McLauglin, Harp Professor at the University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ, and director of the famed Harp Fusion ensemble, commends this method as "exceptional" and suggests that this unique approach of learning how to play the harp be applied to college level harp study. Her own daughter studied the whole Rainbow of Sound series!
For first time teachers, you'll have the tools that you need to successfully begin people in your area playing harp whether it be at schools, churches, senior centers or a group of friends that have come to you. |
For those who are already actively teaching, this method will add a new dimension to your beginning groups!
Click here for ordering information. There is a time wait while the harps are being designed for you of about 60 days. Consider now for the upcoming new semester at schools. Many of our facilitators are actually receiving funds from the school or other organizations to purchase the harps! |
We will be developing a list of Rainbow of Sound Ensemble Facilitators as this program is launched. You can click on the above link to have your contact information included. |
Lastly, every other year, the World Harp Orchestra offers a performance to raise money for relief aid. It is our intention that we will be including the World Harp Youth Orchestra, members from 200 countries around the world. We will be featuring Rainbow of Sound Ensembles as part of this Global Awareness on harp playing!!! |

What the weekend looks like |
Friday, Harp player attendees arrive for the workshop and observe Christina. She meets with the local hospital/hospice at noon to give them a luncheon presentation on harp therapy, in the afternoon she shows how the Rainbow of Sound program can work with patients - good areas to demonstrate this are in Pediatrics, Rehab or Assisted Living. |
Friday night, all interested harp players in the area come together for a rehearsal for a Members of the World Harp Orchestra concert to be presented on Saturday night. This concert is sponsored by the hospital or hospice. The donated money goes to a hospital/hospice fund to hire a Certified Therapeutic Harp Practitioner for their patients. In addition, a portion of the money is set aside to enable a child or two (possibly from their pediatric floor) to have the opportunity to study harp for the 2 month trial period. |
On Saturday, IChristina will offer a workshop on How To Become an Effective Rainbow of Sound Ensemble Facilitator. You need not be a harp teacher but just know how to basically play the harp. You will receive all the tools, contracts, lesson plans that you need to get you started. In the late afternoon, there will be a sound check and a mini rehearsal for the evening's concert. |
Saturday evening is the Concert by the Members of the World Harp Orchestra. Click here for a demo of the Orchestra. Some people will play solo pieces while others will participate in ensembles. This music will be sent to you in advanced. During the concert, a slide show features the work of a Therapeutic Harp Practitioner. A call for donations will take place to create funding to offer music to more patients, and to offer scholarships for those who express interest in the harp as part of their healing process. During the concert, an announcement will be made announcing a workshop for those interested in learning to play the harp to come and check it out on the next day, Sunday. This will also be advertised to music teachers at schools, and posted throughout the community. |
The goals of these workshops and concerts are to: |
Create more funds for harp therapy in hospitals/hospices and other areas
Introduce harp playing to children, seniors, rehab centers, and the general public
Benefit the CHTP to have more opportunity to work
Educate the medical community regarding harp therapy
Provide harp players with a venue for coming together to perform and sharing their music
Creating more of a market for harp makers
Create opportunities for people who play harp to become Rainbow of Sound Ensemble Facilitators |
Please let me know if you'd like to consider a weekend workshop.
You would be required to approach your medical facility to see if they would be interested in sponsoring the event.
The concert does not necessarily need to be at their facility but they would be required to advertise, cover the rental which would then be reimbursed to them from the concert donations.
PLEASE USE OUR CONTACT FORM TO REQUEST FURTHER DETAILS
Future Workshops and Concerts will be posted here.
